About

Eros is recording/mixing/mastering engineer, fiddle player, and producer based in Portland, OR. Over the last handful of years, he has established himself as a rising engineering talent in the region, working on an incredibly rich variety of independent music projects. Eros’ discography covers a wide range of genres, from indie folk, to rock, to hip-hop, to psychedelic Gnawa blues. Eros is passionate about capturing performances and making records in an authentic way that prioritizes the emotional value and sonic integrity of the music.

I am very passionate about capturing compelling performances, and doing everything I can to help realize an artists’ vision. I know music to be an incredibly powerful tool of self-expression, and see my job as an engineer to hold that expression in high regard, and to serve the music to create the best possible sonic and emotional end result.

I’m well versed in many different methods and styles of recording. Nothing excites me more than recording performances as live and true as possible, and I will always encourage recording live, authentic takes. However, I’m equally experienced with the “piece by piece” edited method of production and recording, and am happy to create a workflow that best fits each project I work on.

I’m available for work from my home studio in Portland - primarily mixing/mastering/editing, as well was fiddle session work and select recording projects. I’m also available as a freelance engineer to go work in larger studios - I have experience with both fully digital “in the box” systems, as well as fully analog professional recording studios
